BERKELEY (AP) -- Sarah Morton had 18 points and eight assists as Washington upset California 60-49 on Thursday night.

Kristi Kingma added 16 points and six assists for the Huskies (10-11, 5-7 Pac-10), who dealt the Golden Bears' hopes of qualifying for the NCAA tournament a serious blow with the win.

Layshia Clarendon had 13 points and DeNesha Stallworth 12 for Cal (14-9, 6-6), which hard a hard time putting the ball in the basket. The Bears shot 31 percent from the field, 53 percent from the free-throw line and 18 percent on 3-point attempts. Meanwhile, Washington had its best shooting performance of the season at 51 percent.

This was the second time this season that Morton and Kingma led the Huskies to an upset of Cal. In their first game in Seattle, the pair combined for 27 points, eight rebounds and five assists as Washington won 57-48.
