Oakland Military Institute Employee Faces Child Porn Charges
OAKLAND (KCBS) – The assistant athletic director at an Oakland charter school has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Randolph Fulcher, the assistant athletic director at the Oakland Military Institute, was arrested on Tuesday for possessing and distributing child pornography.
KCBS' Bob Melrose Reports:
Dr. Mark Ryan, superintendent of OMI, said no students were involved and Fulcher passed a background check before being hired.
"Every time somebody is employed by the school, or is a volunteer of the school that's in regular contact with students, they go through a background check with both the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation," Ryan said.
Parents have been sent letters notifying them of the situation.
