(KCBS) – Actor/comedian Bill Murray, the long-time goofball fixture at the AT&T tournament at Pebble Beach, shared the Pro-Am trophy with D.A. Points. John Madden says the beauty of the moment was not so much their Pro-Am victory, but the fact that Points also won the pro side of the tournament. It is proof, Madden says, that fun and laughter isn’t necessarily a distraction, and may help a pro play exceptional golf.

Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day, but it’s also the day pitchers and catchers report to spring training. For the Giants in particular, John says, it’s the start of the challenge to focus on all the hard work that needs to be done before they can think about a World Series repeat.

And is Super Bowl Sunday a holiday? John’s grandson Jesse thought so, though a teacher corrected him at the end of his class presentation. John sides with Jesse. (7:35)
