USC Women Defeat Cal, 80-67

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Ashley Corral scored 26 points, making 7 of 8 3-point attempts, to lead USC past California 80-67 on Sunday.

Corral made her first five 3-point shots, helping USC build a 32-15 lead.

Jacki Gemelos scored 16 points and Kari LaPlante scored 15 for the Trojans (16-9, 8-6 Pac-10). USC led 50-33 at halftime and maintained at least a 10-point lead the rest of the way in bouncing back from Friday's 78-64 home loss to No. 3 Stanford.

Lindsay Sherbert led Cal (14-12, 6-9) with 19 points. DeNesha Stallworth had 14 points and eight rebounds, Eliza Pierre scored 12 points and Layshia Clarendon scored 11 points for the Golden Bears, who have lost five in a row.

USC shot 54 percent from the field while Cal made just 33 percent of its shots.
