San Jose State Tops Louisiana Tech, 72-60

SAN JOSE (AP) ― Adrian Oliver scored 23 points, and Justin Graham added 17, lifting San Jose State to a 72-60 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night.

The Spartans (15-12, 5-9 Western Athletic) clinched a spot in the upcoming eight-team WAC tournament and eliminated ninth-place Louisiana Tech (12-18, 2-12) from contention. San Jose State is tied for seventh place with Fresno State with two games to play.

Forward Olu Ashaolu scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Louisiana Tech, recording his 16th double-double of the season. CJ Scott, a junior walk-on guard, made his first career start and scored a career-high 14 points, making 6 of 7 shots.

The Spartans' 15 wins are their most in a season since finishing 15-15 in 2000. They've won four straight games, their longest streak since winning four straight in December 2003.

The Bulldogs played their third straight game without guard DeAndre Brown, their leading scorer, who was suspended for violating athletic department policy and team rules. Brown is averaging 15.8 points per game.
