SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Crews have removed a jackknifed big rig from Interstate Highway 80 in San Francisco Sunday morning, where it blocked three eastbound lanes for nearly four hours, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
A Safeway stores big rig crashed about 8:10 p.m. on an eastbound approach to the Bay Bridge just west of First Street, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.
The driver suffered minor lacerations to the face, Anderson said.
KCBS' Tim Ryan Reports:
No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash.
The truck and trailer were cleared from the roadway about 11:30 a.m., and Caltrans crews remained at the scene to clean up a fuel leak.
A Sig-alert was issued at 8:29 a.m. and remained in effect until the fuel cleanup was finished, which was expected to last until about noon.
