Body Found At San Francisco Fort Mason
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A body was discovered at Fort Mason in San Francisco Tuesday afternoon, a National Park Service official said.
The body was spotted by a visitor near water near the Firehouse at Lower Fort Mason. That person contacted officials at around 4:45 p.m., spokesman Howard Levitt said.
The park service is handling the investigation because Fort Mason is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
The cause of the man's death, as well as his name, have not yet been determined, according to the medical examiner's office.
