Suspects Sought In San Francisco Visitacion Valley Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, police said Wednesday.

The shooting was reported at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Blythedale Avenue.

The 19-year-old victim was standing on a street corner when two suspects approached. One pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the right arm, police said.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The suspects, described only as black men in their early 20s, fled in a gray four-door Dodge pickup truck, he said. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
