Morning Storm Means A Messy Bay Area Commute
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Sheets of rain greeted many Bay Area commuters Wednesday morning, along with high wind advisories on bridges, and even some mudslides in the Santa Cruz Mountains where Caltrans used snow plows to push the mud off of the road.

A flood warning was issued for the area near the Carquinez Strait and a flash flood watch was issued for Santa Cruz, the coast, and all of Marin County.

North Bay carpoolers had to find another way to get to work as the Manzanita Park and Ride lot off of the 101 was closed because of flooding.
"This is low land here and it's been this way for quite a number of years," said Bob Amoroso, a supervisor for Golden Gate transit. "That's why we have electronic signs here, to warn people of flooding."
There was also standing water on 101 in north Marin, and on Highway 37. The weather was responsible for several accidents all over the Bay Area.
