Man Beaten Unconscious By Mob In San Francisco Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man was knocked unconscious when he was beaten by a group of people in San Francisco's Mission District late Wednesday night, police said.

The attack was reported at 11:34 p.m. in the 2000 block of Mission Street near the 16th Street Mission BART station, according to police.

Four male suspects and one female approached the 46-year-old victim and began to punch and kick him, police said.

The victim fell to the ground and blacked out. When officers arrived, he was still lying unconscious on the sidewalk, according to police.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

The suspects fled and have not yet been found.
