Officers found narcotics on Ruiz when they searched him before he was booked into the Marin County jail, Welch said.

Novato police also reported a 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of molesting his 8-year-old half-sister last summer.
The girl’s mother informed police Monday her daughter, now 9, said she was molested on multiple occasions by the teen last summer, Heiden said.
Police arrested the boy in the 700 block of Redwood Boulevard and he was booked into juvenile hall.
