Screaming Fans Pack San Francisco Auditorium For Free Britney Spears Concert

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Screaming teens, drag queens, and throngs of dedicated fans poured into downtown San Francisco Sunday to see pop singer Britney Spears perform three songs from her new album "Femme Fatale" at a free concert.

Thousands of fans started lining up before dawn to get their first-come, first-serve seats inside Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

Briana Foulk, 18, of Walnut Creek, said she and her best friend Haley Johnson got in line by 6 a.m.

The two teenagers braved the cold in matching hot pink lace bustiers, hot pink lipstick, and skintight short black shorts. Foulk said they won their VIP tickets on the radio by calling KYLD WiLD 94.9 FM - one of the concert sponsors - during a phone-in promotion.

"We won them on the radio," Foulk said. She said she and around 50 girls were on a school bus trip and they all called the radio station at the same time, trying to be the winning caller.

"My best friend was, like, 'I got it! I got it!" Foulk screamed.

Neda Hefzi, 17, from Danville, said she and her boyfriend got in line about 6:30 a.m.

Hefzi, wearing a button she got from a man on the street that said "Britney Spears is God," said she won her two tickets by calling 94.9 FM and answering a trivia question.

"They played one second of six different Britney songs and I got them all!" she said, jumping up and down, doing dance moves.

"Oh my god! I've been listening to Britney since I was ... forever! I'm so excited!"

Five local drag queens, including Hecklina, Donna Sachet and Pollo del Mar, helped warm up the crowd along with cheerleading troupe SF Cheer.

Hecklina said that after the concert she was planning to go to various Britney Spears after-parties being held at bars in the Castro District.

The Spears concert was originally set to be performed outside on Castro Street before promoters - fearing rainy weather - moved it indoors.

The concert was the first installment of "Good Morning America's" "Spring Concert Series" and is scheduled to air on the talk show Tuesday, coinciding with the release of Spears' album, "Femme Fatale".

"GMA" host Robin Roberts and weather anchor Sam Champion were on stage to introduce Spears and present her with a special framed proclamation from the city of San Francisco declaring March 29 as "Britney Day" in the city.

With her blonde hair whipping around, Spears performed "Big Fat Bass," "Hold it Against Me," and "Till the World Ends" with a dozen shirtless or half-dressed backup dancers.

"Just wrapped "GMA," Spears said in a tweet on her Twitter page.

"I love love love you San Francisco. Britney."
