Man Stabbed Outside Rohnert Park Costco

ROHNERT PARK (CBS SF) -- A man was stabbed outside a Costco store in Rohnert Park on Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to the driveway area of the store around 3:45 p.m. and discovered two men who were fighting.

One of the men, 40-year-old Adam Hurt, was suffering from a stab wound to his left arm and transported to a hospital, police said.

The other man, 38-year-old Shawn Nelson, suffered visible injuries but was not hospitalized.

Hurt and Nelson had allegedly gotten into a physical altercation during which Hurt removed his belt and struck Nelson with the buckle, police said.

Nelson allegedly ran to his bike while being chased by Hurt and got a multi-tool knife, police said.

Nelson allegedly stabbed Hurt in his left bicep in self-defense.

Hurt was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
