Santa Clara Marine Killed In Afghanistan
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) - A marine from Santa Clara was killed Sunday while supporting combat operations in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
Lance Cpl. Harry Lew, 21, was fatally wounded in Afghanistan's Helmand province, department officials said.
Lew was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay.
The incident is under investigation.
