Boy Found Dead In San Francisco Home; 4 Teens Arrested
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Four teenage boys have been arrested - one on suspicion of murder - in connection with the death of 16-year-old Andy Zeng in San Francisco's Silver Terrace neighborhood early Sunday morning, a police spokesman said Monday.
The death was reported at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 2100 block of Quesada Avenue, where officers found Zeng's body, police said.
Zeng was a San Francisco resident but did not live at the home where he was found, police said.
The death was initially reported to police as a possible suicide, but the medical examiner's office quickly determined the death was suspicious, and the teens were arrested shortly afterward.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted arson and conspiracy, while three other teenage boys, ages 15, 17 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of attempted arson and conspiracy, police Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.
There is a fifth suspect, also a teenage boy, wanted in connection with the death who is still outstanding, Dangerfield said.
The suspects' names have not been released.
Police are still investigating what led to Zeng's murder, and his official cause of death has not yet been determined, Dangerfield said.
