OAKLAND (BCN) - Police are investigating a homicide in which a shooting victim was dropped off and left with emergency medical personnel on the streets of Oakland Wednesday night.

At about 8:10 p.m., a car pulled up to ambulance workers responding to an emergency in the 1700 block of International Boulevard, according to an Oakland police dispatcher.

A man suffering from a gunshot wound was dragged out of the car by the passengers and left with emergency medical personnel at the scene, the police dispatcher said.

The car then sped off, the police dispatcher added.

Police said that the man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
