Suspected Bay Area Serial Killer Kept Journal About Tormenting Neighbor

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- An upstate New York couple said authorities told them a man now charged in four California cold-case killings sought to torture the woman when they lived in San Francisco 30 years ago.

Margaret Prisco and Thaddeus Iorizzo said that a Nevada State Police detective contacted them last year and told them that Joseph Naso, who lived near them in an apartment building in the early 1980s, wrote about tormenting Prisco.

Three notebooks were among evidence found in Naso's Reno, Nev., home after a probation violation.

Naso has not entered a plea to the murder charges.

Prisco told the Associated Press on Saturday that she didn't know at the time that she was on a list of women Naso allegedly wanted to kill.
