(KCBS) – KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David reviews two wines perfect for springtime.
2009 Napa Valley Pinot Grigio
Pale straw color, charming fruit and floral aromas. Honeysuckle and honey over warm toast, leads to a delicious mouthful of wine. There is enough body to serve with roasted chicken or a rich pasta, but frankly it’s so pretty on its own, you’ll probably drink a glass before dinner even starts. Flavors linger long on the palate. $21.00
1271 Manley Lane
Rutherford, CA 94573
2010 Rose of Pinot Noir
Bright, glistening, coppery color with a slight reddish tinge. Fine fruity aromas roll right onto the tongue. Here is a simply delicious wine. It’s really seductive… from the charming color, to the lingering bright fruit flavors. It’s so nice to see a rose made from a grape as elegant as pinot noir. And a fine price at $20.00.
