SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — A woman who died in a head-on crash in San Jose Saturday night has been identified as 24-year-old Kendra Calhoun, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
Calhoun, of San Jose, was pronounced dead near the intersection of West San Carlos Street and Bird Avenue after her car and another car collided about 8:50 p.m., according to police.
Two other victims were injured in the crash and were taken to a local hospital where they were expected to survive, police said.
A report Sunday from the San Jose Fire Department said only two were injured in the crash, but the medical examiner’s office later verified that Calhoun had been killed.
No other injuries were reported and it wasn’t yet known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
