SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A man was stabbed during an argument in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Sunday night and an elderly woman was slashed in the hand when she tried to intervene, police said.

The incident was reported at about 11:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Hahn Street.

The 22-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times in the head and knee with a fold-up knife during an argument with a 19-year-old man, according to police.

A 79-year-old woman tried to break up the fight and suffered a cut to her hand from the knife, police said.

The suspect fled and remained at large Monday morning. A detailed description of him was not immediately available.

Anyone with information about the stabbing or the whereabouts of the suspect is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.

California needs to lighten up on it’s weapons laws. Otherwise people will have to buy old ladies as self-defense weapons. Try getting a permit for that!

Is that an old lady in your pocket? I’m scared!
