Crews Contain Flames At Mission District 3-Alarm Fire

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Firefighters worked quickly in hopes of containing a three-alarm fire in San Francisco's Mission District Friday evening.

As of 5:00 p.m., the flames were largely extinguished at 506 Capp St. near 20th Street , but not before the fire had spread to two adjacent buildings.

According to fire officials, all residents were believed safely evacuated.

There was no initial word on the cause of the fire.
