SAN FRANCICO (CBS SF) – Two people were taken to a hospital after a crash near San Francisco’s Lake Merced Monday afternoon, a fire dispatcher said.

The accident was reported at 4:25 p.m. in the area of Clearfield Drive and Lake Merced Boulevard.

The vehicle that crashed went off the roadway but did not enter the lake, the dispatcher said.

Two people are being taken to San Francisco General Hospital, the dispatcher said.

    Driving too fast for road conditions. Too obvious? Hope they’re alright.

    I witnessed the accident … the car was driving in reverse and they were helped up the embankment by two strapping young men!
