Police Arrest ‘America’s Most Wanted’ Fugitive In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) — A fugitive from Florida who was recently profiled on the television program “America’s Most Wanted” has been arrested in San Francisco.

Mark McGoldrick was arrested Thursday after allegedly trying to steal cell phones and other items from people at what a police spokesman described as a “performance at a commercial establishment.”

Spokesman Albie Esparza would not identify the business, but said McGoldrick was detained by security.

The 55-year-old McGoldrick was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted robbery and being in possession of stolen property.

After arresting McGoldrick, police say a records check revealed that he was wanted in Florida on sexual offender charges.

America’s Most Wanted featured McGoldrick during its March 29 broadcast, reporting that it was believed he was living in New Orleans.
