KNIGHTSEN (CBS SF) -- A mother reported her infant daughter missing from her bassinet in a community in eastern unincorporated Contra Costa County Sunday morning, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Four-month-old Ramy Amadea Gallego was reported missing from her bedroom at a hime in the 1500 block of Tule Lane in the community of Knightsen at 6:20 a.m., Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

The infant was last seen about 10 p.m. Saturday when she when to sleep, Lee said. When the mother went to check on Gallego Sunday morning she was not in her bassinet.

A large-scale search was in progress Sunday afternoon, including an air support and K-9 units. Homes in the nearby area have been notified about the missing infant via telephone, Lee said.

The girl is described as a white female infant with dark hair and blue eyes. She weighs 14 pounds. She was last seen wearing a one-piece zip-up with pink, green and blue pastel colors, Lee said.

Officials urge anyone with information to call the sheriff's office at (925) 646-2441.
