Suspect Arrested In Fatal Oakley Park Shooting

OAKLEY (CBS SF) -- A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday night in connection with a fatal shooting in an Oakley city park on Saturday, Oakley police said.

The shooting happened at about 4 a.m. at O'Hara Park at 1100 O'Hara Ave., adjacent to the middle school of the same name.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, 21-year-old Oakley resident James Didio, suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. He died at the scene.

At about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, police received a tip that led them to a home on Douglas Road, where they contacted Oakley resident Dameon Zesati.

Officers took Zesati to the police station, interviewed him and then arrested him, police said.

He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility early this morning on suspicion of murder and participating in a criminal street gang. His bail has been set at $1.13 million, police said.
