Another Attack Reported On East Bay Jogging Trail

PITTSBURG (KCBS) - Police planned to step up patrols near a popular recreational trail in the East Bay, following at least two violent incidents within the last month.

The incidents were reported on the Delta de Anza Regional Trail in Pittsburg. Specifically, in the most recent instance, authorities believe that after the trail closed one night in late May, a woman was held against her will on the path by three individuals. A Good Samaritan reportedly came along, tried to intervene, but was assaulted.

KCBS' Bob Melrose Reports:

Earlier in the month of May, a 19-year-old man was shot on the trail.
