1 Dead, 3 Hurt In San Jose Shooting

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - Authorities said Tuesday morning that one person was killed and three others injured during an overnight shooting in San Jose.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the 1200 block of Oxton Drive shortly after 3 a.m. and discovered a male victim who had been fatally shot.

The officers later learned that three people had walked into local hospitals seeking treatment for gunshot wounds stemming from the same incident.

Police spokesman Jose Garcia said at least on one of those people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The conditions of the other two are not known.

Garcia said the circumstances of the shooting as well as a possible motive are under investigation. No suspects have been identified.
