Oakland Drive-By Kills 1; Pregnant Woman Among 3 Injured

OAKLAND (CBS/AP) - Oakland police report that one person was killed and three others, including a pregnant woman, were injured in a drive-by shooting.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. Monday in west Oakland while the victims—all Oakland residents—were around a parked van talking and listening to music. Police have identified the man who was killed as 18-year-old Dionte Freeman.

They did not identify the other victims, but said they were two 18-year-old men and a 21-year-old pregnant woman. Their injuries were considered non-life threatening.

Police say the woman's unborn child was not hurt.

Investigators have not established a possible motive or made any arrests.

Oakland police are also investigating three other nonfatal shootings that occurred late Monday and early Tuesday.
