3 Hurt, 1 Jailed In Oakland Brawl Involving Gun, Knife, Baseball Bat

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - A Sunday night brawl involving a firearm, knife and baseball bat left three men injured and one suspect in custody, Oakland police said.

Officers responded to a large fight around 10:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of 13th Avenue, where two men were found suffering from injuries, Officer J. Moore said.

One of the men had been shot and the other had been hit with a baseball bat, Moore said.

The men were taken to the hospital in stable condition, he said.

Shortly after, Oakland police were notified that a man suffering from a stab wound arrived at the hospital, Moore said. Witnesses identified the man as the suspect who was armed with the baseball bat during the scuffle, he said.

Oakland police took the man into custody, but are still searching for another suspect in possession of the firearm used during the fight. No further information about the suspects has been released.
