San Jose Shooting Leaves 2 Adults, 1 Teen Hospitalized

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - Two adults and a teenager were hospitalized with serious injuries after a shooting late Sunday night in San Jose, a police officer said.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Jeanne Avenue around 11:15 p.m. and found a man, woman and male teenager suffering from gunshot wounds, San Jose police Officer Jose Garcia said.

The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries are serious, but are not believed to be life threatening, Garcia said.

Police are investigating the shooting to determine if it is gang-related. Garcia said Jeanne Avenue does not stand out as a street heavily involved with gangs.

"We do have pockets," he said. "I'm not sure we have active gang activity in that area, but that's not to say that the neighborhood does not have members."

No suspects were in custody as of Monday morning, and police have not provided any further details.
