Man Escapes, Seriously Hurt In Oakley House Fire

OAKLEY (CBS SF) - A man was seriously injured early Friday morning when a two-alarm fire broke out in a home in Oakley, according to the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

Fire investigators told CBS 5 the fire is suspicious in nature because of a number of butane canisters found among the rubble.

The fire was reported at 2:21 a.m. at a home at 202 Fourth St.

The man injured in the blaze was flown to UC Davis Medical Center, where he was being treated at the burn center.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, according to the district.
