Santa Rosa Cafe Fire Causes $50K In Damages
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- A fire in a Santa Rosa strip mall early Sunday morning caused serious damage to a restaurant, according to the fire department.
Smoke was reported coming the roof of Rose Cafe at 1770 Piner Road at about 1:30 a.m., according to the Santa Rosa Fire Department.
Arriving units found flames in the kitchen and the business was filled with smoke.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it caused extensive damage to the building spread to other structures.
The origin of the fire was determined to be in the kitchen but the exact cause was still under investigation.
The fire caused about $50,000 in damage, according to the fire department.
