Contagion (September 9)

Directed by the incomparable Steven Soderbergh, this IMAX, PG-13 film features a top-notch cast that includes Oscar winners Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon and Kate Winslet, along with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law and Lawrence Fishburne. "Contagion" follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that quickly turns into a worldwide pandemic. As the global medical community searches for a cure, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming unraveled. Look for many of the hallmarks that have come to be synonymous with a Soderbergh film, including his way of weaving a non-linear narrative together, and conveying the raw emotions of his characters using hand held cameras and jarring shots.

Abduction (September 23)

If you can't wait to get your fix, Taylor Lautner fans can look out for him in a tale of international intrigue and espionage in "Abduction." The Hollywood hottie not only exercises his muscles in this Lionsgate release, but displays some strong acting chops and performs all his own stunts to boot. Drooling teenage girls don't have long to wait, the John Singleton directed thriller will hit theaters this September.

Dolphin Tale (September 23)

Director Charles Martin Smith and writers Karen Janszen and Noam Dromi tells the inspiring true story of a brave dolphin caught in a crab trap, severely damaging her trail. Footloose (October 14)

Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. The Rum Diary (October 28)

Based on the debut novel by Hunter S. Thompson, "The Rum Diary" tells the increasingly unhinged story of itinerant journalist Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp). Tiring of the noise and madness of New York and the crushing conventions of late Eisenhower-era America, Kemp travels to the pristine island of Puerto Rico to write for a local newspaper, The San Juan Star, run by downtrodden editor Lotterman (Richard Jenkins). Adopting the rum-soaked life of the island, Paul soon becomes obsessed with Chenault (Amber Heard), the wildly attractive Connecticut-born fiancée of Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart). Sanderson, a businessman involved in shady property development deals, is one of a growing number of American entrepreneurs who are determined to convert Puerto Rico into a capitalist paradise in service of the wealthy. When Kemp is recruited by Sanderson to write favorably about his latest unsavory scheme, the journalist is presented with a choice: to use his words for the corrupt businessmen's financial benefit, or use them to take the bastards down.

My Week With Marilyn (November 4)

Based on two memoirs by Colin Clark, "My Week with Marilyn" tells the story of the week Clark (Eddie Redmayne) spent showing Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Wiliams) around England while she was filming "The Prince and the Showgirl" with Sir Laurence Olivier (played by Kenneth Branagh) in 1956. The film also stars Dougray Scott as Monroe's new husband, playwright Arthur Miller along with Dame Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper and Emma Watson rounds out the cast.

Tower Heist (November 4)

Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy lead an all-star cast in "Tower Heist," a comedy caper about working stiffs who seek revenge on the Wall Street swindler who stiffed them. Queens native Josh Kovacs (Stiller) has managed one of the most luxurious and well-secured residences in New York City for more than a decade. Under his watchful eye, nothing goes undetected. In the swankiest unit atop Josh's building, Wall Street titan Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda) is under house arrest after being caught stealing two billion from his investors. The hardest hit among those he defrauded? The tower staffers whose pensions he was entrusted to manage.

With only days before Arthur gets away with the perfect crime, Josh's crew turns to petty crook Slide (Murphy) to plan the nearly impossible...to steal what they are sure is hidden in Arthur's guarded condo. Though amateurs, these rookie thieves know the building better than anyone. Turns out they've been casing the place for years, they just didn't know it.
