Oakland School District Police Chief Accused Of Racial Slurs

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - A top cop for East Bay schools is off the job after allegedly using the N-word after a golf game with friends.

Pete Sarna has been the Chief of the Oakland School District Police Department for just over two years, but is under investigation over racially fueled comments he is accused of making on the way home from an Oakland charity golf tournament.

The school district is now reviewing a complaint by a white officer Sarna hurled racial slurs at fellow officers and even one colleague's children. Sarna is now on paid administrative leave and as declined to comment on the accusations.

The district said there is not timeline for the investigation, but they are hoping to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
