In the seventies and eighties, "mobile dining" consisted of an ice cream truck circling your subdivision with that catchy tune parading along the streets. In the nineties and into the new millennium, roach coach taco trucks fit the "street eats" bill.
These days, you have to be living in a house wrapped in saran wrap not to know that the Bay Area has a raging food truck culture! Within minutes of having a "must eat now" craving, you can hop on Facebook or Twitter and lunch or dinner is covered.
Vendors in San Francisco and Oakland led the food truck movement in the last two years and the trend now… it's EVERYWHERE! From the Livermore Wine Country, to Santa Clara to Milpitas, we explored some great vendors and venues!
