Man Robbed At Gunpoint In San Francisco’s Cow Hollow

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A man was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood Thursday afternoon, police said.

The robbery was reported at 4:50 p.m. near the intersection of Divisadero and Green streets.

The 47-year-old victim was walking when he was approached by two men in their mid-20s, one of whom pulled out a gun, according to police.

The suspects took cash and keys from the victim, then ran to a red vehicle and drove away, police said.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.

Great description… I’ll be sure to be on the look-out for two men in a red car.

This is San Francisco. It’s not like crime is a high priority here. When are we getting some new bike lanes and ultra-cool food trucks (roach coaches)?

Two men. Great Description CBS. Your turning into SFGate. I have no doubt the victim told police what these “two men” looked like. But to be pc, CBS chooses not to reveal that very important detail. You want the public to help? Give us more information than “two men”. Were they white, black, latino, asian?

As a man I find the description of the perps to be very offensive. Are you suggesting that all “men” are robbers. In the future, please state that the description of the perps were to “humanoids” who escaped in a red car

Crime in the Marina/Cow Hollow area has always been somewhat higher than other areas, compared say, to the avenues. But it’s mostly non-violent crime mixed with an occasional assault or robbery. Very few murders, though. I think the higher crime level is because the Marina is where tourists and the wealthier but naive young people live. In fact someone I once knew gave up her rent-controlled apartment because she had walked in on a couple of burglars who threatened her at gunpoint a few years back. Given the run up in property values there, the Marina/Cow Hollow area must have one of the highest crime rates for a monied district.

Mike, you made me laugh out loud!
