Teens Escape San Mateo County Detention Facility

LA HONDA (CBS SF) - Sheriff's deputies were searching Wednesday for two teenage boys who disappeared from a juvenile detention facility in San Mateo County on Tuesday night, a sheriff's spokesman said.

The boys were last seen running down Log Cabin Ranch Road from the Camp Glenwood boys' camp near La Honda at 8:50 p.m., San Mateo County sheriff's Lt. Ray Lunny said.

One of the juveniles is described as a 16-year-old Hispanic boy with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue denim jeans and white tennis shoes.

The second juvenile is a 17-year-old Hispanic boy with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, and was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue denim jeans and white tennis shoes.

Anyone who sees the boys should not make contact with them, but report their whereabouts to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office at (650) 363-4911.
