City Employee Loses Finger In SF Ferry Building Accident

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man had part of his finger cut off in a workplace accident at San Francisco's Ferry Building Tuesday morning, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The accident was reported at 9:24 a.m. at the iconic building on the Embarcadero at the end of Market Street, which contains shops and restaurants.

Fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said the victim was being treated by paramedics but had not been transported to a hospital as of 9:40 a.m.
