Worker Found Dead Inside Richmond Restaurant

RICHMOND (CBS SF) - A woman was found dead Tuesday evening at a restaurant where she worked in a case investigators are treating as a domestic-related homicide, a police spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Jensy Romero, 30, was found at about 7:30 p.m. by co-workers in a restroom at Angie's Bakery & Restaurant, located at 12889 San Pablo Ave., police spokeswoman Lt. Bisa French said.

Police believe Romero, a San Pablo resident, was killed by someone with whom she was in a past relationship, French said.

Information about the suspect was not immediately being released Wednesday morning, according to French. The cause of Romero's death was also not immediately being released because the investigation is ongoing, she said.

A previous restaurant at the same address was the site of a double murder in 2009.

Pit Boss Barbeque, the former restaurant at 12889 San Pablo Ave., was the scene of a gang-related shooting that killed Intiaz Ahmed, 32, and Alvaro Garcia, 23, on Aug. 30, 2009.
