Man Shot Dead In San Francisco Visitacion Valley

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Thursday night, a police spokesman said.

The shooting was reported around 8 p.m. in the first block of Brookdale Avenue.

Officers responded to find the victim lying on the grass near the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, police spokesman Officer Carlos Manfredi said.

He was pronounced dead shortly afterward, Manfredi said.

The victim’s identity is not yet being released, according to the medical examiner’s office.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and no suspect information was available as of Friday morning, Manfredi said.
