Spotify's Sean Parker Throws A Secret Concert

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/99.7 NOW) - When Sean Parker throws a party, he throws a party. The Napster co-founder and Facebook Founding President pulled out all the stops as he celebrated his latest project, Spotify, by throwing a 'secret' show at a warehouse in San Francisco. Parker called in a few favors from four major artists and whipped together the whole thing in less than 48 hours.

News of the Sean Parker party spread quickly through Twitter early Thursday afternoon. There were rumors of a Lady Gaga sighting on-site, however, that turned out to be untrue. Not that attendees were disappointed by the lack of Gaga at the party. Between the open bar serving only top-shelf liquor, plush couches, seafood buffet, sushi bar, roasting pigs, mini donuts, ice cream bars and music, the rumors was nothing but a distant memory.

The Killers kicked off the night performing mega hits like "Mr. Brightside," "When You Were Young" and paying homage to San Francisco by covering Otis Redding's "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay." Unfortunately, the complete band lineup couldn't make the performance given the short notice. A 'temporary" bass player and drummer filled in for the Brandon Flowers-fronted band.

Jane's Addiction turned the rock up a few notches following The Killers. Perry Farrell and co. roared through classics like "Mountain Song," "Been Caught Stealing" and "Stop." They even threw in their new single "Irresistible Force." There's no doubt that Perry and Dave Navarro still have fun onstage. Perry was especially playful with the crowd. He even brought Sean Parker up onstage at the end of the performance to share a drink in honor of their friendship. "This is my friend for life," said Farrell as took a swig from his bottle of wine.

The epic evening wrapped up with one last stage performance by legendary west coast rapper, Snoop Dogg. He had the going nuts as he ran through his collection of hip-hop hits from the 90s and now. The reaction to songs like "Gin And Juice" and "Drop It Like It's Hot" proved that even tech geeks like to let loose. Snoop even joked as he asked for some weed to be brought onstage, "There's a lot of millionaires in here, who's going to bail me out?" We're going to assume someone out in the crowd would be able to follow through with the rapper's request.

If The Killers, Jane's Addiction and Snoop Dogg weren't enough, the extravagant party was topped of by a thumping DJ set from Kaskade that kept the tipsy dancing late into the night. Honestly, after having everything in excess last night (food, drink, music) we're surprised we can keep our eyes open long enough to write this. Thanks Sean Parker!
