SUNNYVALE (CBS SF) — Detectives in Sunnyvale are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who was found in an apartment Friday afternoon, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Officers responded to a home at 892 San Aleso Ave. at 2:25 p.m. on reports of a deceased child.

Responding crews found a boy, about 2 years old, who was not breathing and did not have a pulse, according to the department.

At the same time, emergency personnel received reports of a despondent female on the Mathilda Avenue overpass above U.S. Highway 101.

Sunnyvale officers and fire crews grabbed the woman and pulled her to safety as she was climbing over the railing, officials said.

Detectives discovered that the woman is associated with the apartment where the boy was found and are interviewing family members and neighbors.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety at (408) 730-7110.

May the Lord have mercy on who ever let this baby die. Our gifts from God are suffering and something should be done to make sure that this type of thing does not continue. Babies are to be loved, not killed, protected, not punished. This baby could have one day saved the world, now he will never have the chance.

You all post as if you know something no one else knows. No one knows how that little boy died. No where in that article does it even hint that the woman is responsible for that boy’s death. Get a grip people!
I’m sorry the little boy died. It always breaks my heart when someone dies young.
