2-Year-Old Boy Found Dead In Sunnyvale Apartment

SUNNYVALE (CBS SF) -- Detectives in Sunnyvale are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who was found in an apartment Friday afternoon, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Officers responded to a home at 892 San Aleso Ave. at 2:25 p.m. on reports of a deceased child.

Responding crews found a boy, about 2 years old, who was not breathing and did not have a pulse, according to the department.

At the same time, emergency personnel received reports of a despondent female on the Mathilda Avenue overpass above U.S. Highway 101.

Sunnyvale officers and fire crews grabbed the woman and pulled her to safety as she was climbing over the railing, officials said.

Detectives discovered that the woman is associated with the apartment where the boy was found and are interviewing family members and neighbors.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety at (408) 730-7110.
