AC Transit Bus Window Shattered By BB Gun In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - A window on an AC Transit bus was shattered early Thursday morning when someone fired a BB gun at the bus in Oakland.

The shooting happened at about 12:26 a.m. in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Powell Street, near the Emeryville border, AC Transit spokesman Clarence Johnson said.

There were six passengers on the bus at the time, and no one was injured, Johnson said.

The Line 72 bus, which was traveling south, continued for about half a mile before stopping at San Pablo Avenue and 45th Street.

"The bus driver moved the coach to an area where she thought it was safe," Johnson said.
