The train departed from Oakland at 5:50 p.m. and was bound for Bakersfield, spokeswoman Vernae Grahan said.

The train struck the truck around 7:30 p.m. just east of Antioch.

There were 204 passengers aboard the train and as of 8:20 p.m., only minor injuries had been reported, Grahan said.
