Marin Car Crash Leads To Albany Man's DUI Arrest

SAN ANSELMO (CBS SF) -- An 18-year-old Albany man was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of a hit and run crash in San Anselmo while driving under the influence.

Police responded at 2 a.m. to a report of a driver fleeing after crashing his vehicle into a fire hydrant near Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Broadmoor Avenue.

Officers spotted a stopped car with noticeable front and side damage nearby.

They conducted a DUI investigation and determined the 18-year-old was responsible for the hydrant collision before arresting him.
