Skateboarding 6-Year-Old Struck By Police Officer In Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- A Santa Rosa police officer hit a 6-year-old boy on a skateboard while driving Saturday, sending the boy to the hospital, police said.

The collision happened in the 900 block of Beaver Street at around 6 p.m.

The boy was transported to a local hospital, but his injuries were not life threatening, police said.

The incident is being investigated by the police department's traffic bureau and fault has not yet been determined.
