Lanes Cleared After Fatal Crash Shuts I-880 In Hayward

HAYWARD (CBS SF) — All blocked lanes were open on Interstate Highway 880 after a fatal multi-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Hayward, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash, which was reported in the northbound direction at 2:08 a.m. just north of the state Highway 92 interchange, blocked many lanes on the highway in both directions.

A coroner was called to the scene at 2:26 a.m., CHP officials said.

Southbound lanes reopened at 4:15 a.m. and northbound traffic was
open as of 4:48 a.m., officials said.

Several injuries were reported after the deadly crash, officials said.

    Or more importantly, was it drug, alcohol, teen, elderly, texting while driving, etc. Good news reporting answers the who, what, why, when, and why (how). This article missed on 3 of the 5 W’s. Journalism has become bloggism.
