Police Investigate Double Shooting In East Palo Alto

EAST PALO ALTO (CBS SF) — East Palo Alto police are investigating a doubling shooting Friday night that sent two people to the hospital — one in critical condition.

Around 11:33 p.m. police responded to the area of Pulgas Avenue and Cypress Street where they found two people — 42-year-old and 38-year-old Modesto residents — suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

The victims were taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment.

The 42-year-old was listed in critical condition, while the 38-year-old was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police.

The motivation for the shooting and any suspects are unknown, police said.

Police are asking for anyone who may have more knowledge about the shooting to contact the department by e-mailing epa@tipnow.org or calling (650) 409-6792.
