Daily Madden: T.O. Looks For A Job

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Terrell Owens held a workout in Calabasas Wednesday, hoping to attract an offer from an NFL team looking for a receiver. No teams sent representatives, but it was broadcast by the NFL Network and ESPN.

"Anyone that wanted to keep him on their list, they could watch on tape and see what he looked like," John Madden told the KCBS morning crew. "You're talking about a 37 year old receiver coming off knee surgery. That kind of places him a spot that a lot of people aren't going to clamor to run down and watch him run around in his underwear."

But Madden said the former 49er is most likely still on a lot of NFL teams' emergency lists.

"I think it would have to be a team that was in contention and lost a big receiver and needed a guy to come in quickly to play the last month or the last two months of the season... Whether the end is here or not, the end is very near in his football career."

Owens does have a standing offer from the Chicago Rush of the Arena League. (9:05)
